The Hon. Secretary, Mr. S.R. Mane, alongwith Flat 404 and 303 owners, visited the PCMC office earlier this evening. Some of the points discussed are as follows:
PCMC intends to charge Property Tax w.e.f. the year of its formation, viz., 2016. However, if sufficient numbers of Housing Societies register their protest and request that it be made effective from the new financial year (April 2021), then PCMC may reverse its decision, especially considering the ongoing Covid-19 scenario.
PCMC’s Zone-1 areas are those that have around 12ft adjacent road and Zone-2 areas with around 6ft adjacent road. Our Society was incorrectly categorized as Zone-1 instead of Zone-2. This translates to lesser area and thereby benefits members with a lower tax amount. Details to be discussed in tomorrow’s scheduled meeting.
Since Amidhar Society is over 20 years old, further concession in tax amount is applicable. Details to be discussed in tomorrow’s scheduled meeting.
Separate application for re-measuring the actual carpet area, would need to be made if members disagree with the collected data. Details to be discussed in tomorrow’s scheduled meeting.
